<description>I remember being away from home one Christmas. We were staying in an old house that my Grandfather has built. It was years old and had roll down canvas blinds over flywire screens - there were no glass windows. My Dad and I stood looking out at the bush, and all of a sudden we heard the jingle of bells. He was so excited (well, he certainly convinced me anyway) and said " Wow! that must be Father Christmas and his reindeers". We searched the skies together, looking for the reindeer as the bells kept ringing. Unfortunately he couldn't be seen, but I knew that he was there somewhere.
I must have been about 5 at the time, and I still remember it many years later. It was one of the most exciting memories of Father Christmas to ever happen to me.
