On the first of December, my 3 siblings, mum and dad and I put up the Christmas tree, we spent about an hour together, watching the kids’ laugh and feel the magic of Christmas.
Each decoration that Mum handed the little 2 they would ask her “Is this mine”?
After the tree was up, my oldest younger sister and I were mucking about, and joked that the kids were the same size as their stocking’ so we put the little two ones into them and they were walking around the place in theses big red stockings nearly their height.
Probably the most fun we have all had in a while 🙂 Can’t wait for next year!!
It sounds like a lot of fun Emily – I’m glad you enjoyed that time with your family.
So, were many of those ornaments actually ‘mine’ for the little two?
Sounds so Fantastic!
Last night, we were attempting to put up our Christmas tree, and realized the stand wasn’t big enought! We spent about an hour tiring to figure out how to get it to fit! Luckly, we eventually got it in there!
Oops! AT least you got it sorted eventually Brady 🙂 Was it a much bigger tree this year?
I live in a really tiny flat so we need to struggle to put up a small tree. Either cases the kids always love to decorate it and see the lights, it’s a magical moment that we always appreciate. We need to enjoy it while they are still small. 🙂
Yes, they grow up so quickly, don’t they oportosanto! I’ve seen some very creative small-space Christmas tree ideas – like having some flat against a wall so it takes up less space or drawing the tree like Lisa did a few years ago.
Of course, putting presents under the tree will take up more than wall space, and decorating a physical tree (even if small) is fun and magical.
